Forms are an essential tool for collecting new contacts online, often using a single or double opt-in process. In Marketune, you can create four different types of forms: inline forms, floating bars, floating boxes, and modal forms. Each form type serves a unique purpose and is available depending on your Marketune subscription plan (Solo, Scale, or Pro).

Choosing a form type

When creating a new form in Marketune, you’ll see a selection screen where you can:

  • Choose a form type.

  • Set a form action (e.g., subscribe contacts to a list, assign tags).

You can always modify these settings later. Below is an overview of the four available form types:

1. Inline form (available for all subscription types)

An inline form is a form that is embedded directly on a page of your website. This type of form allows you to collect more details from subscribers by adding extra fields.

Key Features:

  • Fully customizable using drag-and-drop, CSS, and HTML.

  • Ideal for embedding directly on blogs, landing pages, or web pages.

  • Supports multiple integration methods:

    • Simple embedding code

    • Full embedding

    • Embedding via a link

    • WordPress plugin

    • Facebook integration

2. Floating bar (available from Scale subscription onwards)

A floating bar is a thin, horizontal bar that stays fixed at the top or bottom of your webpage. It is perfect for collecting quick contact details like name, email, and phone number without disrupting the user experience.

Key Features:

  • Great for adding a non-intrusive call-to-action.

  • Stays visible as users scroll.

  • Limited integration options:

    • Simple embedding code

    • WordPress plugin

3. Floating box (available from Scale subscription onwards)

A floating box is a small form that stays fixed in the bottom left or right corner of your webpage. It allows you to capture leads without interfering with the browsing experience.

Key Features:

  • Subtle, yet attention-grabbing.

  • Ideal for ongoing lead collection without disrupting content.

  • Supports simple embedding code and WordPress plugin integration.

4. Modal form (available for Scale and Pro subscriptions)

A modal form is a pop-up form that appears over your website content, prompting visitors to enter their details. This is one of the most effective ways to capture leads, as it directly grabs attention.

Key Features:

  • Designed for high-converting lead capture.

  • Can be triggered by user behavior (e.g., time delay, exit intent).

  • Supports simple embedding code and WordPress plugin integration.
