My email's font looks different on mobile

Marketune’s email designer automatically optimizes your emails for mobile devices using a Drag & Drop system. This ensures that if you set a font size of 14px in the designer, it should display as 14px on mobile as well. However, there may be instances where the text appears smaller or “zoomed out” on mobile devices. If this happens, here are some troubleshooting steps to consider:
1. Is the content block configured for mobile view?
Each content block in your email has dedicated settings for mobile display. By clicking on the phone icon in the menu, you can adjust the mobile view to ensure your email looks great on both desktop and mobile devices.
If your email displays inconsistently between desktop and mobile versions, it's a good idea to review and adjust the settings for each content block.
2. Was the text copied and pasted?
When you copy and paste text from an external source into your email, it may include hidden formatting that affects how the text is displayed. This hidden code isn’t visible within Marketune, but email providers might recognize it, causing the text to appear smaller or in a different font. To avoid this issue write your content directly in the email designer and if you need to paste text, do so without formatting.

3. Did you use custom code in your email?
- Check for extra padding: Excessive padding in your custom code can make text appear smaller on mobile screens.
- Use pixels for font size: It's recommended to use pixels (e.g., 14px) rather than points or percentages for more consistent font sizing across devices.
- Implement media queries: Media Queries in CSS help adjust your design for different screen resolutions, ensuring your email looks good on all devices.
To ensure your email looks as intended on all devices, test your campaign thoroughly before sending it to your contacts. This helps you identify and resolve any display issues related to mobile optimization.
